My mom is gone but she's always in my heart. She is not near, yet not far... she lives within me.
Five years ago today, my mom took her last breaths and left this world. We were all with her and she is at Peace now. I will see here again, one day! Me and my mom!
My mom was an inspirational woman, a unique individual; full of genuine humor and full of life and love.
Mom sewed her own outfits and was a fashionita of her time-- Pics from the early through mid 60s.Pics from the 70s up to the 2005.
This is one of my fav. pics of Mom because her smile was the essence of who she was...
Mom left us too early in life, but I don't think one is ever prepared to loss a loved one, no time is a good time... We've continued living our lives as Mom would have wanted us too, but we can't forget this incredible and amazing woman who had a very special way about her- a way that could light up any dark room she walked into...
My Mom! My mom is Louise. My mom is beautiful, loving and kind. My mom is brave, strong and inspirational. My mom is special to me because she gave birth to me on Nov. 28, 1965. She nurtured me and raised me to be the special woman I am today. She supported me, put up with me, listened to me, gave me good advice, and loved me unconditionally. She was always kind and funny!! I LOVE my mom very much....Dear Mom,
I wanted to let you know how much I miss you and that I think about you all the time... day and night! It's so hard to be without your beautiful smile, loving words, and warm hugs. You live on in my thoughts and in my heart. You are everything to me. You are the best mom EVER and you have always been there for me. I LOVE YOU MOM!!
Love, your one and only daughter, Leese

This really brought tears to my eyes. Your Mum is beautiful. I know just how you feel. I lost my Mum 3 months after we all came back to the UK in 2002 after just having had a wonderful holiday all together in France. It was very sudden and a huge shock to me. I still feel so very close to her especially when in France as I have so many of her items all around me there. I also love my Mum. Diane
Hi Barbara,
Thanks so much for your thoughts and encouragement.
Much appreciated! : )
Hi Diane,
I'm sorry you lost your mum, too... It's something we will never 'get over' - the loss of our mom- or of a parent, family member, friend... Something that stays within us.. When I write about my mom and share he with everyone, especially to celebrate her life, it makes me feel close to her.
It must give you some comfort to have her personal items around you, too..
Sending you hugs..
Leesa
Hi Leesa,
This post is a wonderful tribute to your mum. The words are beautiful and describe exactly how those of us who no longer have a mum feel.
My mum died four days before Christmas in 2002 and, just like you, I miss her every day.
Best wishes, Jean
Thinking of you on your mum's anniversary. Hugs x
Hi Jean,
Reading your comment brought the tears flowing down my cheeks as I now realize that several of you all have also lost a mom or dad or family/loved one... It doesn't matter how much time passes, there doesn't seem to be anything to 'fill that void' of our loved whose no longer with us...
Sending hugs to you, too.. Bless you!
Leese
Thanks so much for your kind words, Kristy.. A hard day of the year to pass through, but it's also a day in which I celebrate my mom's life so though it's sad, it's also happy, because she was such a beautiful and inspirational woman!
Hugs 2,
Leesa
Your mother is beautiful! I see you in her (not in the hair, though :0)

Oh, sweet Leesa, I am sorrier than words can express. Your mother was so beautiful, strong and clearly a wonderful mother. I am so very sorry. Sending you love, hugs and hope for peace in your heart.xoxo
Hello my wonderful friend. a truly beautiful lady and a wonderful tribute to her. I am sure she is looking down on you every day.
Sending you lots of love and hugs. xoxx
Dear Leesa,
Everytime I see a picture of your mom, I'm reminded of how beautiful she was and still is. It's true what you said about how it doesn't matter how much time has passed...sometimes I can't believe it's been 22 years since my mom suddenly died. You don't ever "get over it" and I think of her every day. I'm glad we had our talk yesterday, it helped a lot!
Hugs, Jennifer
Wonderful tribute to your Mum,Leesa. Fortunately I still have my Mum alive but not my Dad, it will be the fourth anniversary of his death later this week and I still miss him terribly.

The greatest moments were your time with her...it was lucky to have her around you, isn't it? Have her warmth love past onto your future offsprings too and remember her on her BD and the day she left.....always with a sweet smiles in your heart!
This is a lovely tribute, Leesa. Your mom sounds like an incredible person, and she was definitely a beauty (not only on the outside, for certain, but your wonderful descriptions tell she was on the inside, too).
I loved knowing about your mom, and seeing the photos of her. Thank you.
And to you, love and hugs. I am sorry for this loss in your life. I wish that people we love and appreciate did not have to leave us too soon.
Leesa, what beautiful words. I'm sure your mother would be very proud of you, I think the bond between a mother and child is unbreakable, is inexplicable and lasts forever.
Thank you very much for sharing this, makes us appreciate and strengthen our ties with the people we love.
