Me, Silke, Anne and the friend went out last night. We looked at Anne's photo album from her time in America back in 92/93. It was nice reminiscing. We agreed that we've all 'improved' with age!!!
Nope, just the contrary, actually... We just sat at a table and looked at the photo album while having a drink or too.. I had a cappuccino and the girl next to me, an apple juice.. Nothing too wild... In fact, we were only there for about an hour and a half... It was crowded but mellow and everyone was just sitting down having a quite drink with friends or family... There was even a little girl with her mom in the bar. Germany just outlawed smoking in public places on Aug 2 but since people were smoking RIGHT OUTSIDE the door of the place all the smoke wafted inside and it was really unbreathable so I had to leave... Give me a coffee shop anytime... but it was nice to sit with my friends!
There is nothing worse than second hand smoke. There should be some limit as to how far you have to be away from the door to smoke as well. As an ex smoker, I probably hate it more then a non smoker. I have not smoked for over 25 years, I can't stand smoking or smokers now. Diane
I'm RIGHT there with you on that... I am an ex-smoker, too.. (smoked only for 6 months of my life from age 15 1/2 to just before I turned 16!!!) I am asthmatic and HIGHLY allergic and intolerant to cigg smoke... There should be WAY more laws to protect us nonsmokers!

You are too cute. :) I just said you looked like you could raise a little ruckus. Not that you would. You are all *beautiful* and really fantastic-looking ladies in that photo, and I know that you are above-board and sweet as can be. But nothin' wrong with looking like you *could* raise ruckus, though, eh? ;-)
I am so sorry that it was so smoky for you. Not fun. Europe is not an easy place to be if you are a non-smoker and asthmatic, huh.

Oh boy-- Maybe I sounded defensive, huh? Sorry... Just that when you think of girl's night out-- whoo hoo... it's usually pretty wild-- in my younger years... definitely! I guess I was trying to illustrate just how 'mellow' it was with all of us gals... It was a pretty quite night in town... it's a very small town.
