Hi Diane...

This year was my 4th winter in France, and for some weird reason.. they are getting colder and longer... I need SUN... we all do, but me especially.. b/c I'm from Cali - so I CRAVE the sun-- and the ocean, too!

I am planning to "skip over" winter in 2011.. My ticket is for 2 months.. but if I'm having a great time in the sun... I don't see any good reason to come back to the cold in France and be miserable and sick with asthma..
I'm bloody tired of cold weather! Thank God that spring is FINALLY springing here.. It's lovely in the spring...
Take care,
Leesa

Leesa, global warming! This year was the coldest, wettest, and longest since we arrived in Italy in 2004 and it is not as warm as it should be yet either :(

Nice write-up. I have been searching for blogs about Costa Rica. If you are interested you can post your article on our website as well.

It's for sure a lovely place. I've been twice to Puerto Rico and I guess that climate there is quite similar, so if you love sun, warm temperatures and walks near an endless beach I'm sure it's your place.

Best Regards. Antonio (Zaloette)

PS - I must say that I love your blog. It kind of keeps me alive!!

You lucky people :)
Though I'am pretty happy with the project of going back to San Diego next year and spending time with my clan.

But unfortunately, not all winter.I will have one unhappy husband!

We hope to go someday...when the kids are all out & we can save some $$!

Take tons of pics so I can feel like I went with you!

Hey Barbara--

Thanks! We are pretty lucky, I know.. I have to get out of the Paris cold next winter.. I can't survive the cold another year... Plus, I'm the one in my family who hasn't been to CR... AND I have to visit my dad.

If the weather is warm... and the water-- I guarantee you will never want to leave Costa Rica. I was there for two months backpacking, surfing, eating fruit, & reading books. I thought long & hard about living there permanently. You are going to LOVE it! I only missed hamburgers (their cows are skinny there). And the mosquitos loved me, so bring repellent.

Pura Vida.

HI Laura...

I know what you mean.. That's why I'm open to staying for an extra month if I am really enjoying myself there.. I hope and Fredo can come down there, too!
Hugs, Leese
