Health Update:

I rarely talk about my health on my blog, but I will give you all an update today!  I went in for an echographie on my right shoulder this morning.  It has been bothering me since the end of December and none of the treatments I have tried so far have worked.  So, now I know what I have and why I've been in pain for the past four months- I have tendonitis!  Inflamation of the tendon (in my arm) most likely from carrying around my stupid bag full of books for teaching! UGG!
I went to the kiné today, the same one who helped me with my finger last year.  She's very nice and hopefully, I will be feeling better in at least a month.  I'll keep you all posted!

Well take it easy on yourself and I hope it gets better soon! I am sure you can convince Alex to give you plenty of shoulder massages until it feels better ;-)

At least you don't need surgery, or it could have been worse news. My son's backpack is so heavy, I really feel sorry for all the kids going to school. I don't know if it is that bad for french pupils.
Take good care Leesa and have fun with your efriends.

Better than one of those wheely grandma carts, get one of the super cool cartables that all the kids have!

Glad to hear it's nothing serious! Like I said, probably a tendon problem...

DEFINETELY do the wheelie bags!!!! Most school kids here use those things...I guess schools recommended to parents that kids shouldn't haul stuff in a backpack.
I also had excruciating pain in my shoulders carrying the dog on one side and the old 14.1" laptop on the other. Since I've downsized to the netbook, I swear I've had NO pain! :)

Hi Leesa!

Gosh...I'm so glad to hear that you finally discovered what it was. I once knew a woman at work that had the exact same thing and she got it from carrying heavy grocery bags to and from home. She eventually decided to get one of those grocery carts with wheels to haul her groceries.

And through a chiropractor, was able to straighten it out.

I often wonder about this myself, because I always carry a heavy backpack and am forever carrying my groceries in bags for 13 blocks TWICE a week!

When you live in a city you're always having carrying something around.

Anyway...I bet you'll be back in tip-top shape in no time.

Have wonderful weekend and a HAPPY EASTER, Leesa!

X

Maybe you could carry the books in a wicker basket on your head... well, maybe a wheeled bag would be better. I do hope your shoulder gets well soon. And thanks for the Easter wishes!!

Mira- That will be my first purchase after our trip!

Debi- I will defin. be getting a roller bag! Glad your shoulder pain is no more... : )

Ron-- Thanks so much! I've always joked around in calling myself the "bag lady!" Now, I have to do something about it.. Maybe "Roller bag lady!!"
Be careful yourself!!! Happy Easter!

Philip-- Thanks, I'll mention it to Alex....

Hi Brigitte-- Thanks for relating!!! A schepper.. Yeh.. that's ME!!! I'll try to work around that now!

David-- I was just picturing that wicker basket
poised so gracefully on my head... then coming down quickly when I took a step forward!! Soooo clumsy!! Happy Easter to you!!! Take care, Leese
