Stiff whipped cream!

I was at the local Monoprix the other day and had a few "kitchen" questions for one for gals who worked there. We discussed the differences between different soft cheeses and cream, and THEN showed me a VERY cool product that keeps whipped cream stiff. It's a powder that you add to the whipped cream as you are making it, and it works really well! I am surprised I have never found this before! What a great discovery! I whipped up some chantilly and piped it onto my cupcakes!
Here are some photos.

Those little heart candies are so cute, I've never seen them any other color than red, like as Red Hots? Are they flavored or just sugary?

Hi Patricia from sunny Encinitis!

Oh! Now I'm jealous b/c I'm sure San Diego has great weather now!!! If you noticed on my profile, I'm from Los Angles/San Diego... Spent 23 years of my life in San Diego... so it has a special spot in my heart-- (Not L.A., though)...

The product I used is something you can find at the supermarkets here in France... it's called Fixe chantilly (fixe meaning -- not moving and chantilly - whipped cream... It's by the company Vahiné, who make a number of baking products...
Here's a link..
Maybe you can find it on line and order it.. It works VERY well and I use it all the time....
Thanks for visiting my blog... I see someone asked back in April '09 but unfortunately, I didn't see the comment..
Take care,
