"The Kiss"


I edited this photo a bit... I cropped it and smudged out the lady walking by.   It was taken by a famous French photographer in 1950. Check out the car in the background and the Hôtel de Ville. His name is (was) Robert Doisneau.  He died in 1994.

OMG...this is the PERFECT image for this day!

I've seen a print of this in several frame stores and have always loved it.

First, because it's in black and white. Secondly, because of the whole Europeanness of it. And thirdly, because it's just so romantic!!

I like this photo too. I recently read that it was staged although you can always get shots of people kissing in Paris these days.
