Meanwhile back in Little Italy, San Diego...

The annual Christmas tree lighting in Little Italy was held yesterday night.. It's a very fun event -- a great community event... I used to live about three blocks from Little Italy and there was always something cool going on over there....

Hi Leesa!

Oh how FUN!!!

This reminds me of when I lived in New York City and they would light the tree each year in Rockrfeller Center!!!

OMG...what an event!!!

And NYC has a Little Italy too! I so enjoyed the feast festival they would have every summer. YUMMY!

Hope you're feeling better, my friend!

Hey Ron...

Little Italy is definitely a "community" in San Diego.. In fact, we have many micro culture "communities in San Diego.. but this one is my FAV!!!! I had lived in the area for about 11 years... and watched it grow from about 2 main blocks to now about 5 main blocks.. The area has developed greatly into an "upscale" condo haven... and lots of really hip and cool restos. and shops now line India Street- the main street running through the heart of Little Italy... It's a WONDERFUL place to go if you visit San Diego... I HEART LITTLE ITALY!!!

Philip- Thanks -- I cherish all of my wonderful memories...as much as I can remember them!!!!

I love this neighborhood and my brother lives about 5 minutes away! Great food, wonderful Italian restaurants, fabulous shops, yummy gelato and a lovely community feel! One of my favorite places in SD!
